Caren Walsh Mixed Media Artist Caren’s love of fashion photography is clearly evident in her subject matter and choice of medium. Fashion has always been core to her aesthetic having studied graphic design, including photography and illustration, as well as having worked for many years as a fashion and beauty editor for several magazines.

Art direction is key to her current work. She works with top fashion photographers such as Ulrich Knoblauch, Mark Newton and Alexa Singer to name a few, to create images for her collages and ink paintings. “I love the mistakes that happen when making analogue collage, showing the process in the final piece. The glue marks, printing onto various materials, the randomness of how the different materials act when glued to the surface. It is authentic and exciting.”
